ASUS Announces Updated ROG Strix Line

Featuring the latest Turing-based GTX GPUs from NVIDIA

Aside from updated models from the TUF Gaming and ROG Zephyrus Line, ASUS also updated its ROG Strix line with new models. Leading the pack is the all-new ROG Strix G G531/G731. Available in both 15-inch and 17-inch variants, the Strix G aims to be more affordable than the Scar and Hero models, offering a streamlined design and all the essentials for an all-around mid-range gaming notebook.

Key features of the ROG Strix G include slim bezels for both the 15-inch (G531) and 17-inch (G731) models, a wraparound light bar with support for ASUS’ Aura Sync, ASUS’ proprietary RangeBoost signal enhancement tech, the latest 9th-generation Intel processors, and Turing-based GTX 1650 and 1660Ti GPUs.

Both the Scar and Hero lines get an updated design with 3D Flow Zone, Asymmetric lid cut outs, and a toggle switch to enable the numpad on the trackpad. For the internals, the Scar III and Hero III get the latest 9th-gen Intel processors and either a 240hz/3ms display for the 15-inch variants or 144hz/3ms display for the 17-inch variants.

The main new feature both Scar III and Hero III is the Keystone—a gem-like drive that stores different gaming profiles, various game-on effects, and an encrypted hidden partition called Shadow Drive that is only accessible when the Keystone is plugged.
