MWC 2018 is one possible date
Still fresh on the launch of the ZenFone Max Plus M1, ASUS has hinted that it will be launching the ZenFone 5 earlier than expected. This was said by ASUS Philippines Country Manager George Su during the media presscon at the ZenFone Max Plus M1.
If it was to be recalled last year, there has been news that ASUS plans to launch the ZenFone 5 family in March 2018. If you follow closely the series of events, MWC 2018 will be happening from February 26 to March 1, so it is most likely that ASUS will be launching the ZenFone 5 family during that period. Even ASUS CEO Jerry Shen hinted that they plan to launch the ZenFone 5 family during MWC 2018.
The MWC 2018 launch is not yet final though; there’s even a possibility that ASUS will launch the ZenFone 5 after MWC 2018, just as what LG plans to do with the upcoming G7. For the meantime, we will be waiting for confirmation from ASUS themselves, and give you updates on the ZenFone 5.
