The ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI Might Be a Worthy Mac Mini Challenger

The Mac Mini M4 is even smaller than its predecessors and sets a new standard for mini PCs. NUCs are the Windows counterpart for mini PCs, and ASUS might have a solid Mac Mini challenger with their NUC 14 Pro AI.

Touted as the first Copilot+ mini PC, ASUS managed to cram up to a Core Ultra 9 288V processor inside the NUC 14 Pro AI,m along with up to 32GB RAM and up to 2TB of NVMe SSD storage. This mini PC measures 130mm deep and is just 34mm tall, making the NUC 14 Pro AI rival the M4 Mac Mini’s tiny form factor.

The front part of the NUC 14 Pro AI has a power button, a combo audio jack, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB-C Thunderbolt 4, and a dedicated Copilot button that we find more unusual compared to those dedicated Copilot keys we find on newer Copilot+ laptops like the 2024 ZenBook S 14. The back has two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, another USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, an Ethernet port, an HDMI port, and a DC-in jack for its 120w power adapter. You also get support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 as well with its tiny chassis.

ASUS has yet to reveal pricing and availability for the NUC 14 Pro AI, though it is already listed on its Philippines website. We hope ASUS can give it a competitive price to make it a proper Mac Mini M4 alternative.
