The selfie wars are heating up
ASUS has officially taken the wraps off of their new selfie-centric smartphones that’s obviously aimed at combating the efforts of smartphone manufacturers like OPPO and Vivo in the highly competitive mid-range space. Aptly named the ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, ASUS is hoping that the two phones will be able to give their Chinese rivals serious competition, as both sport competitive specs as well as dual-front cameras for the ultimate selfie.

Both phones have two front facing cameras, but obviously the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro has the leg up over its smaller brother, the ZenFone Selfie, as the former has a 24-megapixel main front camera and a 5-megapixel secondary front camera, compared to the ZenFone 4 Selfie’s 20-megapixel main front camera and 8-megapixel secondary front camera. The selfie cameras have 120 degree wide angle lenses to fit more people into view. There’s a big difference in processor power as well – the Selfie Pro comes equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, while the regular Selfie has a Snapdragon 430 processor.
While both phones have the same screen size, the Selfie Pro beats out the Selfie when it comes to resolution: full HD VS HD. Both phones are equipped with a 3000mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, Android 7.0 Nougat along with ASUS’ ZenUI.
