More product refreshes! This time it’s the ZenFone 4!
Pinoys have been eagerly awaiting the ZenFone 4 for a while now, and while the initial release to our shores is coming really, really soon, Asus has gone ahead and announced an improved model during their press conference at COMPUTEX. While the new model sports much of the same hardware as the previous one, it has been improved with a bigger 4.5-inch display and a better 8-megapixel camera compared to the old version.

While new versions are always good, the announcement of a new model may put off some prospective buyers of the ZenFone 4 who have been waiting for a long time to get their hands on one. We heard through the pipeline that the ZenFone is close to launching in the Philippines, but the announcement of a new version (that will supposedly launch in Q3) may force some owners to wait for the newer device to be launched rather than buy the old version when it finally launches in our country, more than 6 months after it was officially announced.
