Asus’ ZenFone 5 gets LTE!
Roughly six months after Asus released the ZenFone 5 back in CES, the company has decided to introduce an updated version of the 5-inch smartphone. The new ZenFone 5, model number A500KL, will now pack a Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 processor chugging along at 1.2GHz instead of an Intel chip, which coincidentally also gives the smartphone LTE capabilities.

Asus ZenFone 5 LTE specs
- 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 5-inch LED HD IPS display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 1280 x 720 resolution
- 16GB/32GB storage, expandable up to 64GB of storage
- 8-megapixel rear camera, F/2.0 5-element lens (Sony)
- 2-megapixel front camera
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS
- 3G, LTE
- 2110mAh battery
- Android 4.4 KitKat with ZenUI
Our initial impressions of the ZenFone 5 is pretty positive, as the device was pretty responsive in our hands. There will be apparently two storage variants of the ZenFone 5 (16/32), and the device will apparently be available come Q3, though no price has been set as of now.
