ASUS expands its ROG line of gaming laptops, and the ROG Zephyrus M16 is set to be its first 16-inch gaming laptop.

The new Zephyrus M-series laptop is a feat on its own, as ASUS managed to tuck in a 16-inch WQHD panel on a 15-inch chassis by utilizing a 16:10 aspect ratio and skinny 4.6mm bezels on all four sides–all while still being able to tuck in a webcam at the top bezel. The display itself is no slouch, as it supports a 165hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and Adaptive Sync. Beyond gaming, the ROG Zephyrus M16 is also ideal for content creation with its support for 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, along with Dolby Vision.

For audio, the Zephyrus M16 is getting a six-speaker system with dual force-canceling woofers, Dolby Atmos, and a 3D mic array that has ASUS’ AI Noise for removing background noise.

Powering the Zephyrus M16 is Intel’s latest Tiger Lake processors, and it can be configured with up to 48GB DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD for the fastest possible storage speeds. For graphics, it can be configured with up to an RTX 3070 discrete GPU. To keep things cool, ASUS makes use of a liquid metal compound that helps reduce CPU temperatures by as much as 10 degrees celsius. On top of that, you get six heat pipes for efficient transfer of heat away from the CPU and GPU, where its dual Arc Flow fans take care of overall airflow.

With all that power, the Zephyrus M16 is a compact gaming laptop with a thickness of just below 20mm and a weight of under 2kg. Despite those dimensions, ASUS managed to cram in a 90wHr battery inside that supports both regular barrel port charging and USB-C charging depending on your work needs.

For connectivity, the Zephyrus M16 has two USB-C ports–one supporting ThunderBolt 4–along with two USB-A ports, Ethernet jack, MicroSD card reader, and a full-size HDMI port.
