Time to unleash the beast
After being in the rumor mill since last year, ASUS finally unveiled its first gaming-oriented phone with the ROG phone. Aimed to compete against the Razer Phone and Xiaomi’s Black Shark, the ROG Phone comes with a speed-binned Snapdragon 845 processor and a 6-inch AMOLED display that boasts of a gaming-grade 90hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.
Being a gaming-centric device, the ROG Phone has a GameCool vapor-chamber cooling system and a detachable AeroActive Cooler to keep the phone cool while playing games for a prolonged time. It also comes with AirTrigger force feedback haptics that is programmable for an optimal gaming experience.
The ROG phone will come with a variety of accessories to choose from:Â a TwinView Dock for dual-screen handheld mode; a Mobile Desktop Dock for desktop-style gaming; and a Gamevice controller with WiGig Dock for big-screen gaming.
