Will we be seeing Asus’ newest budget smartphones soon?
Asus’ ZenFone series of affordable but beautiful smartphones certainly managed to draw a lot of attention when it was launched earlier this year during CES. But after the official unveil, it seemed that the device promptly went off the radar, without a firm release date in sight. Well, worry not – Asus has finally launched two of the three ZenFone models in their home turf of Taiwan yesterday, sporting prices that even our notoriously price sensitive market will appreciate.

The ZenFone 5 and the ZenFone 6 were launched carrying price tags of NT$4,990 and NT$6,990 respectively. That comes out at around Php 7420 for the ZenFone 5 and Php 10394 for the ZenPhone 6, which isn’t bad at all considering what you’re getting. of course, the prices are all pre-taxes and duties so you can expect a bit of price bloat when it does come to our shores hopefully in the next few months.
