Xiaomi announced their latest flagship TWS earbuds in China with the FlipBuds Pro. As their latest flagship TWS earbuds, the main selling point of the FlipBuds Pro is its ANC performance. This time around, Xiaomi claims that they can filter as much as 40dB of noise, which arguably the highest in any TWS earbuds so far, matching the Huawei FreeBuds Pro in the said department.
Getting inspiration from the Apple AirPods Pro, the Flipbuds Pro has a streamlined, curvy design that has the earbuds sporting short stems. You also get a high-gloss black finish on them, courtesy of Xiaomi’s NCVM coating to give them that premium look.
Powering the FlipBuds Pro is Qualcomm’s QCC5151 chip, which supports features like aptX Adaptive, TrueWireless Mirroring, and Bluetooth 5.2. With the new chip, the FlipBuds Pro has Dual Device Intelligent Connection, which lets you seamlessly switch between your smartphone and laptop or connect two FlipBuds Pro to one device to share the audio output between two people.
Aside from having a class-leading 40dB noise cancellation feature, the FlipBuds Pro’s ANC feature can be set in three levels: daily, office, travel. Its charging case can cover up to 22 hours of battery life with ANC on, and the earbuds themselves can last for up to 5 hours on a single charge with ANC on. Charging is done either via USB-C or by wireless charging. They also come with fast charging, where a 5-minute top-up can give you 2 hours of playback, and that it takes 35 minutes to fully charge them up.
