Chinese company BlackView isn’t about to be left behind in the 18:9 “bezel-less” craze. Its flagship S8 has an 18:9, edge-to-edge panel as well as quad-cameras – two in the front, two in the rear – much like Huawei’s Nova 2i.

The phone’s 5.7 inch panel has an 18:9 aspect ratio but has a resolution of only HD+, topping out at 1440 x 720 pixels. Inside its body is a 1.5GHz octa-core MTK6750V processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as well as a 3180mAh battery and Android Nougat.
The rear camera is a 13-megapixel deal paired with a VGA depth sensor (0.3-megapixels) while the front camera is a 13-megapixel shooter paired with a VGA depth sensor as well. The secondary camera adds depth information to the shot to add artificial bokeh after the fact.
The phone is relatively cheap for what it is, since it’s listed on GearBest’s website for just $149 or Php 7.6K if you don’t mind buying it from overseas.
