It’s certainly a different strategy from other brands
Solid Group Inc, the mother company of MyPhone, has announced a brand new brand: Brown and Proud. Just like MyPhone the new brand is looking to sell smartphones and tablets, but unlike MyPhone, they’ve turned to a controversial sales tool to do it with: Multi-level Marketing.
Looking at the sales kit that’s downloadable from brown.com.ph/movement, the sales pitch looks eerily familiar to the one used by other companies that leverage MLM techniques.
As for devices, Brown And Proud’s first phone is the Brown 1, that’s a 5.8mm thin HD device sporting a quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, fingerprint scanner along with Android Nougat, and is priced at Php 9500. Two other devices are scheduled to be released later on, which you can see below.
Just like MyPhone’s other devices, phones and tablets sold by Brown and Proud will come with their Agila Lockscreen App that rewards consumers with freebies if they watch the ads.
