Cherry Mobile MAIA Pad C: Intel-Powered, 7-Inch Tablet for Php 2,499

A cheap, Intel-based, 7-inch tablet built only for browsing and video viewing.

Here’s a new tablet from Cherry Mobile, the MAIA Pad C. This 7-inch tab is powered by an Intel Atom X3 quad-core chipset and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Let’s take a look under its hood and see if it’s worth the cash shell out.

For the low price of Php 2,499, the MAIA Pad C looks like a serviceable, WiFi-enabled tablet good enough for browsing, YouTube and movie watching. Gaming, unless you’re running only Flash apps, is best left to more powerful devices.

  1. It’s barely useful. I bought one and it was very bad at responding to touch. One would need to wait for seconds before anything happens in response to any action such as opening the notification panel, app switching, going home or back, scrolling, or basically doing anything. It was so unbearably bad, I had to return it to get an exchange for a different device.
