Protects your phones from scratches AND bugs

There’s not really a lot of things you can improve with glass that protects your gadgets aside from making it tougher and tougher each iteration, or so we thought. Gorilla Glass maker Corning doesn’t seem to share our sentiments and went ahead and made their new Gorilla glass tougher and bug resistant. That’s right – the new version of their Gorilla Glass now inhibits the growth of algae, mold, fungi, mildew, bacteria and other nasty bugs that mother nature made. According to Corning, the glass’s antimicrobial property is intrinsic to the glass, and will be effective for the lifetime of the device, whatever it is. No word yet where this new wunderglass will pop up, but you can expect that we’ll let you guys know when it does.
