Creator Z17 HX Headlines New MSI Laptops at COMPUTEX 2023

As part of its slew of announcements at COMPUTEX 2023, MSI announced a number of new laptops to add to its portfolio, with the Creator Z17 HX Studio as its headline product and main offering for those who need a serious workhorse for content creation. The Creator Z17 HX Studio won the Best Choice Award at COMPUTEX 2023 for being the world’s thinnest and most powerful Intel HX-series laptop to date.

Key highlights of the Creator Z17 HX Studio include configuration options of up to a Core i9 HX series processor and the latest NVIDIA RTX 40-series GPUs, along with being NVIDIA Studio verified for serious content creation.

Aside from mainstream and gaming laptops, MSI is also expanding its business portfolio with the unveiling of the Commercial 14 at COMPUTEX 2023. This new model from MSI is tailor-made for enterprises with a variety of security features, along with NFC and a built-in smart-card reader. The Commercial 14 is also a sustainable laptop, with MSI claiming that the keyboard deck is made of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) materials, while over 90% of the packaging is made from recycled paper.

There’s also the 2023 Alpha 17, which is one of the fist laptops to have support for WiFi 7. A key component of the 2023 Alpha 17 is its use of Qualcomm’s FastConnect 7800 model to deliver peak speeds of up to 5.8Gbps with as low as 2ms latency thanks to its use of High Band Simultaneous (HBS) Multi-Link, where it utilizes multiple bands to deliver the best connection available.

The 2023 Alpha 17 is a serious powerhouse, as it comes with a Ryzen 7045HX Dragon Range CPUs, along with RTX 40-series laptop GPUs and a 17-inch QHD display with a 240hz refresh rate.

Rounding up the line of new laptops is the 2023 Prestige 16, which received a Red Dot Product Design award for this year. As a premium offering, the 2023 Prestige 16 has a magnesium alloy chassis that makes it weigh just 1.5kg. It comes with the latest 13th-gen Intel processors, along with having Intel Evo certification, making the 2023 Prestige 16 a suitable ultrabook for modern-day workers. You also get the option for an RTX 40-series GPU, along with support for up to 140w USB-PD 3.1 charging, allowing the 2023 Prestige 16 to charge via USB-C at high speeds–without the need to use non-conventional ports for charging.

MSI has yet to reveal when all of the laptops announced at COMPUTEX 2023 will be made available in the Philippines.
