DJI’s OM 4 Simplifies Mounting Your Phone into a Gimbal

UPDATE: the OM 4 will be available in the Philippines starting September 8 for Php 6,990. DJI’s official Lazada and Shopee stores will be accepting pre-orders starting August 28.

Now on its 4th generation, DJI finds ways to improve its Osmo Mobile line of smartphone gimbals. Aside from giving it a simpler name—it is now OM 4 instead of Osmo Mobile 4—DJI made mounting your smartphone simpler with the use of magnetic mounts.

With either a clamp type or ring holder type of magnetic mounts, setting up your phone with the gimbal is simpler than ever. You still get the Osmo Mobile 3‘s foldable design but have upgraded motors to let it handle heavier smartphones.

Like its predecessor, you connect the OM 4 to your smartphone using the DJI Mimo app over Bluetooth, where you have a myriad of professional features like Gesture Control, ActiveTrack 3.0, and pre-programmed movements and Modes like DynamicZoom, Timelapse/Motionlapse/Hyperlapse, Slow-motion, Sport Mode, Panoramas, and Spin Shot Gimbal Movement.

The OM 4 is priced at $150(~Php 7.3k). The kit includes the two magnetic mounts, a carrying pouch, a wrist strap, USB-C cable, and a grip tripod.
