Will we be seeing a local release soon enough?
Weeks ahead of the annual IFA, which will be held in Berlin, Blackberry shared a 15-second teaser video containing a black background with fluid graphics, and Blackberry’s KeyOne logo:
While Blackberry did launch a Black Edition KeyOne in India on August 1, the video gives us hope that the device will see a global release soon. Specs include a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 4.5-inch a physical keyboard—which we rarely see in smartphones these days, and possibly a water-resistant IP certification rating (based on what the short video has revealed).
The phone is currently being sold in India for Rs 39,990 (~Php31,600). While we initially felt that the KeyOne won’t fly in the Philippines months ago, Blackberry must be making a gamble in considering a global launch.
What do you guys think? Will Blackberry make a comeback with the KeyOne? Let us know in the comments section below!
