LG G2 or the Nexus 5?

Ever since we published the reviews of both the LG G2 and the Nexus 5 we’ve been getting a lot of questions via Facebook and Twitter asking which is better between the two. After careful analysis we’ve come to the conclusion that each device has its own set of pros and cons. If you study the pros and cons and cross reference it with your everyday smartphone habits you’ll be able to determine which one is best for you. At the end of the day it really depends on how you use it.

So here’s a quick summary of the pros and cons of both devices. Note that both almost have the same specs (processor, RAM, and even non-expandable storage lol). Hope you guys find this helpful!

  • We still prefer stock Android over LG’s custom interface (not yet on Android 4.4 KitKat)
  • Minor lag issues because of custom interface of LG

Nexus 5: Android 4.4 KitKat, Minimalist Build

Google Nexus 5 Unboxed b

Pros

  • Android 4.4 KitKat – Google Now, Google Voice, Optimizations etc.
  • Super smooth and fluid Android experience
  • Minimalist build is very clean and easy on the eyes

Cons

  • Battery life
  • Battery life

Summary

To make it short and sweet:

If you use LTE a lot, we recommend the LG G2. The camera, in our opinion, is also better with the G2 compared to the Nexus 5.

If you don’t use LTE too much and you want maximum smoothness and fluidity with your device, go for the Nexus 5. Just always have a battery pack. Oh and you get the next Android version ahead of all other brands when it gets released.

That’s about it. Hope you guys found this helpful!
