Vivo joining in the budget-level fray
After unveiling the V9 and X21 a few weeks ago, Vivo is working on a new device meant for the entry-level market. Dubbed the Y71A, Vivo’s entry-level offering will reportedly sport a Snapdragon 425 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 5.7-inch HD+ display, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3285mAh battery.
There’s no fingerprint scanner to be found in the phone, which might fuel speculations that it will come with face unlock. Based on the model number, the Y71A is slated to replace last year’s Y69, and will have a price of CNY 1098 (~Php 9.1k). According to the leak, the Y71A is expected to launch on April 5.
