Unbox goes to Cebu for Epson Fusion V!
Every year, Epson takes select members of the media and whisks them off to an exotic destination for fun, relaxation and to spread the word for their latest products. This year, Unbox had the privilage to be invited to the company’s Fusion V event heald in Sumilon Cebu, where we got the opportunity to see the company’s latest products and innovations. This year, Epson unveiled 14 new products from four different categories. Since Epson is a company that encompasses many different verticals (including consumer and business), we’ll solely be concentrating on the consumer side of things.
The company expanded their inkjet lineup by offering three new products in their L-Series of Ink Tank System Printers. The most affordable of the bunch is the L120, with a high ink capacity so you don’t run out of ink mid-print. The Epson L555 meanwhile, is a multi-function printer with fax, auto-document feeder and wireless printing capability. Finally, the is a large, A3 capable printer that’s perfect for artists, photographers and small start-ups that need a printer that’s able to produce large prints. The L120 retails for P4,995 while the L1300 is P 18,995. The price of the L555 is TBA.
Aside from unveiling new products, Epson also shared a few company milestones with us during the event. Epson is the leader in Inkjet (in value) in the PH for 2013, coming in at 33.1%, driven by their L-series printers. The company is also still the leader in projectors for the Philippine market, and has maintained that lead for 13 years, enjoying a 31.84% marketshare for the first quarter of the year. Finally, Epson is still the leader for dot-matrix printers (yes, they still exist!) holding a 97% marketshare.
