Technology has caught up with what was deemed “science fiction” in the 80’s. ZionEyez is developing a new product called Eyez which is basically glasses that have HD video (720p) recording capabilities. The video ca be stored in the 8GB flash memory within the glasses and it can also be transferred via Bluetooth or Micro USB to a computer or your phone (iOS/Android). They’re also working on a feature which will let you broadcast the video you’re recording live on social networking sites!
You can change the lens of the glass so that it’s either dark or transparent. While this device is really cool and all we have to seriously look into how this can breach the privacy of everyday people. This product is set to be sold for just $150 USD (less than Php10,000) making it very affordable.
