The Galaxy Z Flip3 proved to be a big hit for Samsung in making foldable phones more accessible to the public–which resulted in the Korean tech giant replicating its success with the Galaxy Z Flip4.
Like with the Galaxy Fold4 and Fold3, Samsung took the safe route and only introduced very incremental changes with the Z Flip4. So what has changed with the Galaxy Z Flip4 in comparison to last year’s Galaxy Z Flip3? Let’s dive in.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 Specs:
- Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor
- 8GB LPDDR5 RAM
- 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage
- 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Internal Display, 120hz adaptive refresh rate
- 1.9-inch Super AMOLED External Display, 260×512 resolution
- 12-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with OIS and Dual Pixel AF, 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera
- 10-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera

Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold4, both the Z Flip3 and Flip4 look virtually identical–with practically no changes to the aspect ratio of its 6.7-inch foldable display. The Galaxy Z Flip4, however, is slightly thicker to accommodate a bigger 3700mAh battery.
The increase in battery capacity is one of the biggest changes on the Galaxy Z Flip4, which should theoretically offer a longer battery life compared to its predecessor. Together with the bump in battery capacity, the Galaxy Z Flip4 now supports 25w wired charging and 15w wireless charging. Â Other changes with the Galaxy Z Flip4 include a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, up to 512GB internal storage, and a new 12-megapixel main camera with large 1.8um pixels.
Just like our sentiments with the Galaxy Z Fold4, those who are using the Galaxy Z Flip3 can skip the Z Flip4 since the upgrades are very incremental. However, those who aim to own their first foldable phone can consider the Galaxy Z Flip4 thanks to its relatively accessible pricing.
