It comes with several upgrades from its predecessor
Despite being one of the most heavily-leaked phones of 2019, Google went on with launching the Pixel 4 series. Both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL come with Snapdragon 855, 6GB RAM, and notch-free 90Hz displays—with the Pixel 4 having a 5.7-inch Full HD+ panel and the Pixel 4 XL having a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ panel. Aside from the display difference, the Pixel 4 gets a 2800mAh battery, while the Pixel 4 XL gets a 3700mAh cell.
Both phones come with a rather huge top bezels that house a single 8-megapixel f/2.0 front camera and a 3D depth sensor that is used for secure face unlock and bokeh effects. The top bezel is also home to a Soli Radar—a new feature that gives both Pixel 4 phones the ability to recognize hand gestures.
A key new feature for both Pixel 4 models is that they are the first Google phones to employ a dual rear camera setup. You get the same 12-megapixel f/1.7 main camera with Dual Pixel autofocus, OIS and EIS, and a new 16-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and both OIS and EIS. Both cameras utilize Google’s suite of camera features: Night Sight, Dual Exposure Control, and real-time HDR.
Also new to both phones is the Oh So Orange color, which has a black frame and is a limited edition color.
