Google to Launch their Own Android TV Stick

Google to Launch their Own Android TV Stick

Google’s upcoming event on September 30 will be highlighted by the formal unveiling of the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A 5G. While we more or less know what the Pixel 5 will probably look like, Google will be launching two additional products: a new Nest Smart Speaker and an Android TV stick carrying the codename Sabrina.

The latter has leaked in photos, confirming its minimalist, all-white design that is accompanied by a straightforward remote. The remote has dedicated buttons for YouTube and Netflix, along with a Google Assistant Button. Going through the specs, the Android TV stick is powered by a quad-core Amlogic S905X2 processor that is paired with 2GB RAM. There’s no mention of internal storage, but it is expected to have at least 16GB onboard.

As for the branding, WinFuture explains that Google might drop the Android TV branding and revert back to Google TV instead. While that part is not yet official, we should know from Google about the possible changes come September 30.
