Google Unveils the Pixel 3 Family

Featuring bigger displays and better-than-ever cameras

Never mind the numerous leaks: Google went on with the official unveiling of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. While both have bigger displays, with the Pixel 3 XL sporting a huge notch, both Pixel phones have an upgraded 12.2-megapixel single rear camera setup, defying the trend of dual (or triple) rear cameras that have been all the rage lately.

Speaking of the cameras, Google integrated new features such as Top Shot—a feature that lets you get the perfect shot by snapping multiple photos, Night Sight— which improves the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL’s low-light abilities, and Super Res Zoom—Google’s take on zooming in without the need for a telephoto lens.

New features on both Pixel phones include a two-toned glass back, support for wireless charging, a built-in Titan security key, and dual front cameras, with the second camera sporting a wide-angle lens.

Since it supports wireless charging, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have a new accessory with the Pixel Stand. Aside from wireless charging functionality, the Pixel Stand transforms the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL into a photo frame that functions like Google Home.
