One of the most annoying things about headphones is the wiring. That’s the reason behind the fast growth of bluetooth wireless headphones in the market. However something has to give right? Most of the time it’s the sound quality because the wire is actually key to delivering the awesome, crisp, and sharp audio to your ears. The AKG K830 Bluetooth Headphones tries to deliver both the wireless experience as well as the wired sound quality.
In terms of features, it has transport controls (play, pause, etc.), call button, and microphone on the left ear mechanism. The microphone obviously lets you use the headphones as your primary communication tool if paired with a cellphone. For listening to audio while physically away from the actual device, reception is excellent if you’re within 10 meters which isn’t a bad distance.
How much? P12,990. Available now in JBL stores. My favorite store is the one in Bonifacio High Street.
To be honest the reviews are a bit mixed especially with the price tag. Then again this is a premium brand so you can’t expect it to be priced as low as Skull Candy or generics. Here’s a review from tech blogger superstar Yugatech and another review from Engadget if you want more insights.
