Some surprising entries in this list

As the year draws to a close, Google has released their Year in Search 2017, which highlights the stuff everyone was searching for in the Philippines. Year in Search 2017 has all sorts of lists for all sorts of topics including smartphones.

Despite being the most expensive smartphone from Apple to date, the iPhone X was on top of Pinoy’s minds, along with the iPhone 8. Third place for the most searched phone for the Philippines is Huawei’s Nova 2i. OPPO gets several mentions in the list though, with their OPPO F5, F1s and F3. Samsung has two entries, namely the Galaxy J7 Pro and J2 Prime. Nokia also has two phones in the list: the Nokia 6 and the Nokia 3310.
