Say hello to a new design language
We could just count the days before Sony will unveil its post-OmniBalance Xperia phones at MWC 2018, and we have a clearer view of the upcoming Xz2 thanks to leaksterĀ Evan Blass.
Aside from the post-OmniBalance design language of having slimmer bezels, the XZ2 appears to have an 18:9 display, rumored to be 5.7 inches. Completing the refreshed look is the use of 3D glass both front and rear panels, along with a relocated fingerprint scanner. In addition, Blass notes that Sony ditched the headphone jack on the XZ2, opting for a USB-C connection instead.
Contrary to previous rumors, the XZ2 appears to sport only a single rear camera setup instead of a dual rear camera module. Minor changes include a f/1.8 aperture and the ability to shoot 960 FPS at 1080P. Like the XZ2 Compact, the XZ2 is expected to sport a Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. It will have a 3180mAh battery, while the Xz2 Compact will use a 2870mAh battery.
