This 5G HMD Budget Phone is Priced Right

While it was just right for HMD to kill off the Nokia branding once and for all, that does not mean that they’d stop bringing their offerings to the Philippines. One particular offering that caught our eye is the HMD Crest 5G, which has a palatable price in the Philippines.

With a price of Php 7,990 in Shopee, the HMD Crest 5G is a frontrunner for one of the most affordable 5G phones in the Philippines. It may not be as affordable as the ZTE Blade A75 5G from Smart, but you’re getting a decent set of specs: a 6.67-inch OLED that has a Full HD+ resolution and 90hz refresh rate a Unisoc T760 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, a 5000mAh battery that supports 33w charging, and a 50-megapixel main and selfie cameras.

The 50-megapixel sensors used for the main and selfie cameras, 33w charging, and 90hz OLED display make the Crest 5G a better offering than the Blade A75 5G if you’re willing to spend Php 3k more–on top of getting more RAM and storage as well. You also get Android 14 out of the box, along with 2 years of quarterly security updates and an IP52 rating to give it basic water protection.

Like HMD’s recent offerings, the Crest 5G is repairable–though there’s no word if the repair kits will be made available in the Philippines.
