You don’t have to wait long before you taste Oreo on Nokias
Bought a Nokia 3, 5 and 6 and are wondering when your phone will be getting the sweet, sweet taste of Android Oreo? You won’t have to wait long – HMD Oy has apparently confirmed that all of their phones – yes, even the Nokia 8 flagship that they announced in the Philippines last night – will receive Android Oreo by the end of the year.
HMD Global GM for Australia and New Zealand confirmed that the Nokia 3, 5 and 6 will be getting Android Oreo at the end of the year, though they haven’t elaborated when exactly the update will drop. Potential buyers of the Nokia 8 though will have a more solid date for their Oreo update since company officials promised that there’s a possibility that the flagship will receive the Oreo update as early as late October.
While many companies have already promised Oreo updates to their phones, there’s only a scant few that actually have delivered on that promise. If HMD Oy can deliver on their commitment, it’ll be another reason for people to buy their reasonably priced flagship here in the Philippines.
