Ahead of their official launch in the Philippines on July 17, the HONOR 200 series have taken two of the top 5 spots on DXOMARK Pro’s Camera Rankings in the high-end price category. Their rankings effectively makes the cameras of the HONOR 200 series rival Google’s entry-level Pixel 8a and 7a, and mid-range Pixel 7.

The HONOR 200 Pro garnered a score of 137, making it just 3 points behind the Pixel 7. Headlining its camera setup is a large, 1/1.3-inch OV50H sensor for the main camera, which is the same sensor used on the Magic6 Pro. In its review, DxOMark praised the cameras HONOR 200 Pro for its reliable autofocus and accurate target exposure, along with its decent noise control and stabilization in videos.
The HONOR 200, on the other hand, got a score of 130, making it 3 points behind the Pixel 7A. Compared to its Pro sibling, the standard 200 uses a 1/1.56-inch IMX906 sensor for the main camera, which still showed excellent performance for landscape and portrait photography. Just like the Pro version, the standard 200 is an excellent performer with videos with excellent stabilization.
Aside from the excellent performance of their main cameras, both the HONOR 200 and 200 Pro also come with a 50-megapixel IMX856 telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with autofocus, making them one of the best camera setups on a mid-range phone.
