While HONOR is enjoying good momentum with the 200 series in the Philippines, the brand has unveiled the 300 series in China with an Ultra variant.
The HONOR 300 Pro and 300 Ultra have many things in common, including a 50-megapixel IMX906 main camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 50-megapixel selfie camera, a 6.78-inch 120hz curved AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, an IP65 rating, and a 5300mAh battery with support for 100w wired and 80w wireless charging.
The 300 Pro and 300 Ultra differ in three ways. The latter has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner (the Pro uses an optical fingerprint scanner), and they have different telephoto cameras: the Pro uses the same 50-megapixel IMX856 sensor found on the 200 Pro with 3x optical zoom, while the Ultra uses a 50-megapixel IMX858 periscope with a 3.8x optical zoom. Aside from that, the 300 Ultra can be availed in a 16GB/1TB variant.
The regular 300, on the other hand, has roughly the same specs as the 200 with its use of a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, 50-megapixel main and selfie cameras, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It loses out on the telephoto camera but gets a slightly bigger 5300mAh battery with support for 100w charging. It has a 6.7-inch flat AMOLED display and is touted as one of the world’s thinnest phones at 6.97mm thick.
The HONOR 300 starts at CNY 2499(~Php 21k) for the 8GB/256GB model, while the 300 Pro starts at CNY 3999(~Php 33k) for the 12GB/256GB model. The 300 Ultra starts at CNY 4199(~Php 34k) for the 12GB/512GB variant. We expect the 300 series to go global in the next few months, but it remains to be seen if HONOR will make all three variants available.
