With Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 set to happen in a few weeks, HONOR confirmed that they will hold both an in-person and live stream event on February 28.

With the event titled “The Power of Magic”, it’s safe to assume that one of the highlights of the event will be the global launch of the Magic V foldable, along with the global debut of other products like the Magic3.

To recap, the Magic V is HONOR’s answer to the Galaxy Z Fold3. It’s the first foldable device to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and features a 6.45-inch 120hz AMOLED outer display and a foldable 7.9-inch 90hz AMOLED inner display. Like the Find N, the Magic V uses a teardrop hinge design to eliminate any gaps when folded.

The Magic V is also better than the Galaxy Z Fold3 with its 4750mAh battery that supports 66w wired charging, along with two 42-megapixel selfie cameras and three 50-megapixel rear cameras.

The Magic3 series, on the other hand, emphasizes more on the cameras, with the Pro+ model having a 50-megapixel IMX700 main camera with Full Pixel Octa PD Autofocus, 64-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, 64-megapixel monochrome camera, 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8×8 dTOF sensor for its rear camera array.

The Magic3 and Magic3 Pro are serious photography powerhouses with their 50-megapixel IMX 766 main camera, 64-megapixel monochrome camera, and 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The Pro model adds a 64-megapixel periscope camera and an 8x8d ToF sensor.

HONOR should reveal more details about its participation at MWC 2022 in the coming weeks.
