As one of the fastest-growing brands when it comes to foldables, HONOR finally unveiled its first flip foldable with the Magic V Flip. The standout feature of this flip foldable is its huge 4-inch cover display that has very slim bezels and wraps around the phone’s two cameras.Â
HONOR used a 120hz LTPO OLED panel for the Magic V Flip’s cover display, and its unique form factor lets it split content viewed on it to a 16:9 aspect ratio. One example of this is when watching videos, where the top half is the content while the bottom half is for the controls. Because of the cover screen’s nature, it is possible to run apps in full screen with the Magic V Flip.
Going to the inner display, the Magic V Flip has a 6.8-inch 120hz LTPO panel with a 21:9 aspect ration and 3000nits peak brightness. The Magic V Flip is 14.89mm when folded and 7.5mm unfolded and uses a new hinge mechanism that’s made with steel foil components and an aluminum frame.
As a flagship device, you get a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with it, along with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Keeping the lights on is a 4800mAh battery that supports 66w charging. You also get a capable set of cameras that consist of a 50-megapixel IMX906 main camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera that doubles as a macro camera, and a 50-megapixel IMX816 selfie camera with autofocus.
The Magic V Flip starts at CNY 4999(~Php 41k) for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the 16GB/1TB version is priced at CNY 5999(~Php 49k). There’s no confirmation yet if HONOR will make the Magic V Flip available globally.
