Despite that there’s already the 80 series, it seems that HONOR is not yet done with the 70 series. In fact, HONOR actually has a 70 Lite in Europe, which looks similar to the X8 series save for the notched display.
Unlike the X8 models that arrived in the Philippines, the 70 Lite is 5G-ready, as it rocks a Snapdragon 480+ processor. It’s paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. While it has a smaller 6.5-inch IPS display with a HD+ resolution and 90hz refresh rate, the 70 Lite has a 5000mAh battery inside that also supports 22.5w wired charging. The X8a lost the headphone jack to make room for a bigger battery, but the 70 Lite managed to retain it despite being physically smaller.
Despite sharing a similar camera module as the X8a, the 70 Lite has a toned-down setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras. Other features of the 70 Lite include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, support for Hi-Res Audio, and Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 out of the box.
The HONOR 70 Lite is priced at £200, or around Php 13.5k when converted.  While it’s expected to be priced lower in Asia, we expect the 70 Lite to be more expensive than the X8a because of its 5G-ready processor.
