It has been a few months since HONOR announced its first phone as an independent brand. Since then, HONOR has been doing silent releases like with the case of the HONOR Play 5T Life and now with the HONOR Play 20.

Being a budget phone, there’s not much to talk about the HONOR Play 20, though its processor of choice is very interesting. Instead of a Qualcomm of MediaTek processor, you get a Unisoc Tiger T610 processor. Originally intended for budget tablets, the 12nm-based processor has two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, all running at 1.8Ghz. For the GPU, you get a Mali-G52 3EE dual-core chip that runs at 614.4Mhz.
Those numbers point it to the Tiger T610 being more of an entry-level chip, on top of only having support for eMMC 5.1 storage, up to LPDDR4X RAM, and up for a 32-megapixel rear camera. Despite being a budget device, you can get up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The cameras are more on the basic side: 5-megapixel for selfies and a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor. As for the display, you get a familiar 6.5-inch HD+ IPS panel that is commonly used with the majority of 2021 budget phones.
Keeping the lights on is a 5000mAh battery, while it runs a rather dated Android 10 software with MagicOS 4.0.
