The update is now being rolled out to global variants
Honor is starting to roll out Android Pie and EMUI 9 to global variants of its Honor 8X phablet, a few weeks after it the China version has received the said update.
Weighing in at around 3.14GB, the update introduces several key EMUI 9 features such as improved app launch times, a revamped Recorder, Huawei Share 3.0, and an updated design. The update is expected to receive the latest Google Security patch, along with key Android Pie features as well.
As of this writing, the update is rolling out to models sold in Macedonia, and expect a wider rollout in the coming days.
