HONOR Claps Back at Samsung’s New Foldable

HONOR Claps Back at Samsung’s New Foldable

The Galaxy Z Fold6 has gone official, and while it is more of a specs bump, Samsung brags its boxier look that makes it thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Despite that, HONOR simply laughed at the new Samsung foldable, bragging that their Magic V2 is “still light-years ahead in the galaxy of foldables.”

While that’s brave of HONOR to take jabs at the Galaxy Z Fold6, they have their points: for one, the Magic V2 remains the thinnest foldable in the market at 9.9mm thin–the Galaxy Z Fold6 is thicker at 12.1mm despite Samsung’s redesign. The Magic V2 is also even lighter at 231g as compared to the Galaxy Z Fold6’s 239g.

HONOR has other bragging rights with the Magic V2, as its svelte frame still managed to squeeze in a 5000mAh battery–while Samsung has been stuck with a 4400mAh cell for several iterations of the Galaxy Fold.

Despite these advantages the Magic V2 has against the Galaxy Z Fold6, Samsung’s latest foldable has its own set of advantages: it rocks the most powerful version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, offers wireless charging, and has the best software update commitment with 7 years worth of updates.

With HONOR set to unveil the Magic V3 soon, we’re looking forward to how their upcoming foldable will go up against the Galaxy Z Fold6.
