HONOR has gone all-in with their commitment to AI, and their newest tablet, the Pad X9a AI, is proof of that. The HONOR Pad X9a seeks to steal the thunder from more expensive slates in the Philippines, and has enough features to do exactly that.
The new tablet has a large 11.5-inch IPS panel, 120Hz refresh rate along with a maximum brightness level of 400 nits. The HONOR Pad X9a comes with four speakers that the company claims pump out 200% higher volume than typical tablet audio, with deeper bass and a surround-sound vibe. Whether you’re blasting a playlist or catching up on a podcast, the audio setup here is a cut above what you’d expect from a budget tablet.
Under the hood, the Pad X9a runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It’s not going to outmuscle a high-end iPad, but it’s more than capable for multitasking, web browsing, and casual gaming. Running Android 15 with Honor’s MagicOS 9.0, the software feels snappy and modern, though Honor’s UI can be a bit heavy-handed with its customizations. The bump to 8GB of RAM over the Pad X9’s 4GB means smoother app switching, which is a welcome upgrade for power users on a budget.
HONOR Philippines hasn’t set a price for this tablet yet, but since they’re already teasing it, you can expect it to drop any day now.
