HONOR Teases X9a in Midnight Black

The HONOR X9a is an interesting mid-range phone for under Php 17k. Aside from being one of the most affordable mid-range phones to have a 120hz curved AMOLED display, the X9a has a tough display that can withstand accidental drops without worrying about cracks.

Months after its official launch locally, HONOR teased that they will be bringing over a special edition version of the X9a in Midnight Black.

From the teaser image, it appears that this colorway of the HONOR X9a will have a deep black color with a matte finish. The main highlight appears to be the large camera module that appears to have a shiny silver finish.

To recap, the X9a is a mid-range phone that uses a Snapdragon 695 processor that’s paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It boasts a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 64-megapixel main, 5-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro cameras. Despite being a slim device thanks to the curved display and back panel, the HONOR X9a packs a large 5100mAh battery that supports 40w charging.

Other notable features of the X9a include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 16-megapixel selfie shooter, and Android 12-based MagicUI 6.1 out of the box.

HONOR did not reveal when this version of the X9a will be made available, but we speculate that fans will get a first look at the opening of their Experience Store in SM Fairview on April 15.
