HONOR announced a new budget 5G phone in China with the X40i. As an affordable successor to the X30, the X40i gets a modern design that’s reminiscent of the HONOR 70 series–though you get a modest camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The HONOR X40i’s display is a 6.7-inch LTPS display with a Full HD+ resolution, 60hz refresh rate, and extremely slim top and side bezels. It also has a punch-hole for the 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Powering the X40i is a Dimensity 700 processor that’s paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery with support for 40w wired charging.
Other features of the X40i include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a unique Diamond Star River design, a slim 7.43mm frame, and Android 12-based MagicUI 6.1.
