HONOR completes its refreshed Xxa line of budget mid-range smartphones in the Philippines with the arrival of the X8a. While it looks similar to last year’s X8, the X8a gets a few upgrades and a more streamlined rear camera setup. Aside from that, HONOR gave the X8a a competitive Php 11k price to the X8a in the Philippines.
This time around, you get one less 2-megapixel filler camera and a 100-megapixel main camera that delivers better imaging performance than the 64-megapixel shooter used on the X8. The X8a is a leader with that new camera, as it is one of the most affordable phones in the Philippines to have a 100-megapixel camera.
Aside from a camera upgrade, the X8a also packs a bigger 4500mAh battery inside while retaining the same slim build of its predecessor. The processor gets a slight boost too with its use of a Helio G88 processor that offers better performance over the Snapdragon 680.
Like its predecessor, you still get a 6.7-inch 90hz display with skinny top and side bezels for a premium look, along with a metal-like texture for its flat frame.
