HTC One S to launch in the Philippines soon?
HTC Philippines already launched the HTC One X and One V a few months ago. They left out the HTC One S which was actually one of the most anticipated models in the line-up for an unknown reason. It looks like we’ll be seeing it hit the market soon though since we chanced upon a unit being tested by Yugatech. The HTC One S is the mid-range offering of the One Series and it has good specs, a gorgeous screen, and solid hardware design. All that and it’s supposed to be more affordable compared to the HTC One X.
Here’s a quick refresher on the specs:
HTC One S Spec Sheet
- 1.5GHz Dual-core CPU
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage
- HSPA+ 21Mbps
- 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 540×960 pixels, 256ppi
- 8MP Camera, 1080p video recording
- Bundled with iBeats Earphones
- OS: Android 4.0 ICS
As you can see the specs aren’t bad at all! Sure it’s not quad-core but a 1.5GHz Dual-core CPU is already fast. The camera is nice since it packs good optics and it can even record 1080p video. Browsing will also be a better experience thanks to the HSPA+ connectivity. The screen is also for a broader market since it’s easier to handle at 4.3-inches.

There’s no official SRP yet for the HTC One S in the Philippines or an availability date. We should be getting an official announcement soon though since a test unit is already “in the wild”.
