The nova 11 series may have arrived in the Philippines last June, but the nova 11 SE was notably absent. Instead, the Philippines got the nova 11i. Things are different in China, as Huawei unveiled the nova 11 SE despite all the rumors with the upcoming nova 12 series.

While both the nova 11i and nova 11 SE use the same Snapdragon 680 processor, the latter appears to be more premium. For one, the nova 11 SE gets a more complete rear camera setup that consists of a 108-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The nova 11 SE also gets a 90hz OLED display that is slightly smaller, and its slender 7.4mm body houses a 4500mAh battery with Huawei’s 66w wired charging. The punch-hole on the nova 11 SE’s display houses a higher-resolution 32-megapixel shooter, but we find it strange that it uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner despite having an OLED display.

Huawei did not disclose the RAM of the nova 11 SE but mentioned both 256GB and 512GB storage variants. We can assume that it comes with 8GB RAM since there’s no Snapdragon 680-powered device that comes with 12GB RAM. The biggest differentiator between the nova 11i and nova 11 SE is that the latter comes with HarmonyOS 4.0 out of the box instead of EMUI, which indicates that the nova 11 SE has a slim chance of being made available outside of China.

Looking through the specs, it appears that the nova 11 SE is very similar to the nova 10 SE save for the upgraded selfie camera and HarmonyOS.

When it comes to pricing, the nova 11 SE is priced at CNY 1999(~Php 16k) for the 256GB model and CNY 2199(~Php 18k) for the 512GB model.
