Huawei’s notebooks finally make it to our shores
Together with the official launch of the P30 family in the Philippines, Huawei also announced the availability of the MateBook 13. A 14.9mm thick ultrabook that sports a 13-inch 2k resolution display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, the MateBook 13 aims to go against Apple’s MacBook Air, Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook air, and ASUS’ ZenBook S.
Other key features of the MateBook 13 include two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support, NVIDIA MX150 discrete GPU, a fingerprint scanner that is embedded via the power button, dual fans, and Dolby Atmos audio, Powering the notebook is a 42Wh battery that is rated for up to 10 hours on a single charge.
Two variants will be available: The Core i5 version is priced Php 55,990 and comes with 8GB RAM, 256GB NVMe SSD storage, and an NVIDIA MX150 discrete GPU. The Core i7 variant gets a bigger 512GB NVMe SSD storage and is priced at Php 69,990. Both MateBooks come bundled with a Huawei Bluetooth Mouse and Huawei Backpack, while the Core i7 variant also comes with a Huawei Mate Dock 2.
Both models are available starting today.
