Huawei expands its MateBook offerings in the Philippines with the arrival of the D16 and 16S, along with a Php 55,999 starting price for the MateBook D16.
The MateBook D16 is the biggest model in the MateBook D series, and features a bezel-less 16-inch display with a productivity-focused 16:10 aspect ratio for an impressive 90% screen-to-body ratio. The display it uses has DC dimming and supports 100% of the sRGB gamut.
The MateBook D16 has a new feature called Metaline antenna, which helps in improving connectivity by as much as 56% compared to other laptops. It comes with the latest 12th Gen Intel processors with Iris Xe integrated graphics, 16GB RAM, 512GB internal storage, and Huawei’s Super Device for seamless integration and collaboration with various Huawei products.
On the other hand, the higher-end MateBook 16S ups its 16-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 2520×1680 resolution. It retains the solid aluminum build of its smaller siblings but offers more ports: two USB-C Thunderbolt 4, two USB-A 3.2, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack. Powering it is a Core i7-12700H processor that’s paired with 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage. Like the MateBook D16, the Matebook 16S also supports Super Device for seamless connectivity with supported Huawei products.

The MateBook D16 is priced at Php 55,999 for the Core i5-12450H model and Php 70,999 for the Core i7-12700H model, while the MateBook 16S is priced at Php 89,999. Those buying either laptop will get a Bluetooth mouse and a Stylish backpack with their purchase.
Aside from the MateBook D16 and 16S, Huawei is also having its Back to School promo from August 6 to September 30, where select MateBook 14s, 14, and D15 models get as much as Php 10,000 off for the Core i5 version of the MateBook 14s, along with freebies that include a Bluetooth mouse and Stylish backpack. The MatePad T10 and 11 get up to Php 5,000 off for the 6GB/256GB variant of the MatePad 11. The MatePad T10 comes with a Flip Cover, while the MatePad 11 comes with a Smart Magnetic Keyboard. Huawei’s P50 and nova series phones also get a price cut with as much as Php 11,000 off on the P50 Pocket Premium Edition, while the nova 9 SE comes with a Band 6 for every purchase
