Aside from the expected unveiling of Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones on October 4, there are reports of a Pixel-brand tablet also in the works. Apparently, Huawei is the manufacturer of choice this time for Google’s new 7-inch tablet.

The report comes from reliable leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) and it says that the speculated Pixel tablet is set for an end-of-year launch window. Not too many details on it yet, aside from the tablet having a 7-inch display and 4GB of RAM.
Google has already launched a tablet under the Pixel series, the versatile, 2-in-1 Pixel C. That tablet came in the 10-inch form factor, though, so the upcoming Huawei-manufactured tablet might be the first in its class for the Pixel brand.
Stay tuned for more details as we near Google’s product event on October 4.
