Three’s a crowd
Aside from the Kirin 810-equipped Nova 5, Huawei announced two more variants with the Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i.
The Nova 5 Pro is identical to the Nova 5, though it trades the Kirin 810 processor for a more powerful Kirin 980 processor, along with a 256GB storage variant option. The rest of the specs are the same: Quad rear cameras, OLED display, in-display fingerprint scanner, and 4000mAh battery.
The Nova 5i is the most affordable of the bunch: while it only rocks a Kirin 710 processor, the Nova 5i swaps the waterdrop notch for a punch hole display. You still get a quad rear camera setup (with lower-resolution main and ultra-wide-angle cameras) and a 4000mAh battery (with 18w fast charging), making it still a strong contender in the mid-range segment. Outside of China, the Nova 5i is known as the P20 Lite (2019).
