Huawei Mate 20 Specs Surface in Firmware Files

It might have wireless charging this time

As we wait for Huawei’s Mate 20 family later this year, new details of the Chinese brand’s upcoming flagship phone surfaced from firmware files obtained by FunkyHuawei.

Based on the information obtained from the firmware files, the Mate 20’s Kirin 980 processor will utilize a 7nm process and have a 2.8Ghz clock speed. The new chipset is rumored to be 20% more powerful and 40% more battery efficient compared to the Kirin 970.

Just like the Mate 10 Pro, the Mate 20 will have 6GB/128GB as one of its RAM/Storage options. The battery will get a slight bump at 4200mAh, and the display will be a 6.3-inch OLED panel. Interestingly, the firmware files indicate that the Mate 20 will support wireless charging, which makes it the second Huawei phone (aside from the Mate RS) to have such feature.

Do these rumored specs make you excited for Huawei’s upcoming flagship phones?
