Following a launch in China last September 2024, HUAWEI finally made the Mate XT official for global markets including the Philippines, making its unique tri-fold phone accessible to more people.
Being a tri-fold device, the Mate XT is groundbreaking with its dual-hinge design, which gives you a spacious 10.2-inch display with a 3k resolution when fully unfolded. The Mate XT has two folded display options: one being a 7.9-inch display with a 2k resolution that’s typical of the majority of book-type foldables in the market, while fully folding the Mate XT gives you a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display.
Even more insane is the Mate XT’s overall thickness, which is just 3.6mm when fully unfolded-beating the record set by the Magic V3. The tri-fold display is the flagship tier, being a 90hz LTPO AMOLED with a 240hz refresh rate and 1440hx PWM dimming. Despite being insanely thin, HUAWEI managed to fit a 5600mAh silicon-carbon battery inside the Mate XT, along with support for 66w wired and 50w wireless charging.
Beyond its bleeding-edge form factor, you also get HUAWEI’s XMAGE imaging tech with a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera with a f/1.4-4.0 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 12-megapixel periscope camera with 5.5x optical zoom.
The Mate XT is priced at 3499 Euros(Php 213.2k) for the 16GB/1TB model. It will arrive in the Philippines this March. European pricing is usually higher, so expect the pricing of the Mate XT the Philippines to be lower.
